This paper is a prelude to the author’s proposed research of Hryhorri Skovoroda’s hypothesis that ultimate happiness, health and reward depend on the human being’s awareness of one’s inner voice and respect and implementation thereof in one’s personal goals. Skovoroda’s point of view on the essence of the human being is considered in the context of an abridged literature review of the role of spirituality in psychotherapy and hypnotherapy from ancient to modern times. Hypnotic capacity, which is a universal phenomenon in all human beings, characterised by its enhanced potentiality, will be mentioned in this paper, as it is considered to be the oldest therapeutic intervention known to human kind. The role of spirituality in psychotherapy research and practice has grown increasingly in the last few decades. An integrated and holistic approach to psychotherapy has been shown to embrace spirituality at the “heart or core of [the person’s] entire functioning both intra-systemically and inter-systemically”. Spirituality has been excluded from the study of human behaviour with the development of the science of psychology. The scientists of human behaviour pointed out that spirituality lacks parameters in order to be scientifically investigated. Many scientists have dismissed the suggestion that ‘the Creator’ may play a role in natural phenomena because they claim that ‘the Creator’ cannot be seen or measured. However, by relying on observation, the knowledge acquired using the scientific method is limited to only study of the physical (i.e. as opposed to the spiritual). Hryhorri Skovoroda provided a deep understanding of the essence of the human being by pointing out that it is the spirit and not the body that gives and maintains life. Furthermore he said that such a gift remains with the human being throughout their conscious life. He emphasised that the human being should refer to their inner voice for guidance before making a decision in their life. A review of Skovoroda’s contribution to the understanding of the essence of the human being will contribute profoundly to current models of treatment where spirituality has been minimized or even ignored in managing patient’s physical and psychological health. It is further intended that the proposed review will inform future practice in this critical area of human functioning.

The current article examines the effects of retroactive and proactive interference on the students' metamemory judgments. Authors theoretically overview the significance of the analyzed problem and substantiated the negative impact of interference on metamemory. According to the theory, interference affects memory and metamemory differently, since the metamemory judgments are based on information to which people have access during monitoring. Authors found that the retroactive and proactive interference not only impair memory efficiency, as well as cause inaccurate metamemory judgments and metacognitive monitoring errors (e.g., "illusion of knowledge"). Based on the literature review, authors designed and conducted an experiment for further exploration of retroactive and proactive interference effects on EOL and JOL judgments. One-hundred twenty Ukrainian-speaking students (84 women and 36 men; mean age = 19.55 years, SD = 3.50) participated in the experiment. The participants were divided into two groups for retroactive (RI group) and proactive (PI group) interference condition manipulation. Each of two groups was divided into subgroups according to the three study lists. These study lists include (i) CL (classic interference study list manipulation, which corresponds to the demands of the classical paradigm ABC), (ii) AS (classic interference study list manipulation, whereas in the second study list cue A was replaced by its association A’, so it corresponded to AB and A’C condition in 1st and 2nd study phase respectively), and (ii) CO (control study list, in which for each of two study phase were proposed unrelated study lists, that is, AB and DC). In general, the study sample was divided into six experimental subgroups, which accounted twenty people each. In summary, authors found that JOL and EOL judgments to a greater extent exposed to proactive interference than retroactive. The possible reason of can is explained by following suggestions. First, the second list of word-of incentives by imposing information to the same stimulus creates a false sense the presence of the correct target information in the memory. Second, students are not able to differentiate the fragmented target information and take it to the account by making quick judgments about it, considering that its recall is not a difficult task for them.

Available research status in the field of emotional intelligence suggests that this phenomenon has become one of the most widely discussed issues in the psychology of personality. However, the general theoretical definition of the essence of emotional intelligence is still far from complete. Differences on grounds of genders in emotional intelligence and its impact on interpersonal interaction as one of the important aspects of vital activity of pre-adolescent person remains a matter of contention. The purpose of the article is to carry out the empirical analysis of the gender-specific impact of emotional intelligence on the interpersonal interaction in pre-adolescent age. To achieve this goal, we used the theoretical analysis of the literature on the research problem and the following methods: a questionnaire Emin D.V Lyusin and methodology "Diagnosis of personal aggression and conflict" (E.P. Ilin, P.A. Kovalov). The article considers the problem of the study of emotional intelligence in young men and its impact on interpersonal interaction. The empirical research conducted compared gender differences of emotional intelligence. A general indicator of emotional intelligence shows that the level of boys emotional intelligence is slightly higher than girls. However, we have not found significant gender differences in the structure of emotional intelligence. It is proved that girls are better developed interpersonal intelligence, while young men - intrapersonal one. The results confirmed the impact of emotional intelligence on the boys relationships with others. In general, we investigated what women have a slightly higher level of conflict, than boys. We obtained significant differences in boys only at the level of "temper". The importance of intrapersonal emotional intelligence for interpersonal relationships is proved. The overall level of conflict has a negative correlation in boys and girls with the management of their own emotions, control of emotions and the general level of emotional intelligence. Young men with a high level of intrapersonal emotional intelligence is less conflict. The girls’ temper negatively correlates with understanding the thoughts, managing their own emotions, understanding emotion, managing the emotion and general indicator of emotional intelligence. So, basis of the study, we see that the interpersonal emotional intelligence is better developed in girls, while intrapersonal is better developed in boys. The correlation analysis shows that intrapersonal emotional intelligence has a greater impact on the personality conflict, particularly on interpersonal relationships.

In the article the major determinants and mechanisms of pedagogical skills development are researched with an application of theoretical analysis. The main factors of pedagogical skills are as follows: operational-activity (inclusion in pedagogical activity; interaction with the educational environment; mastering the methodology of teaching (knowledge, skills and abilities), etc.), social (competitiveness, competition, identification, cooperation, social support, social approval ( appreciation), etc.), personal values (motivation, reflection, personal freedom, the development of cognitive and metacognitive skills, creative approach to problem solving, ethics, etc.), spiritual (awareness of their vocation (mission); internal dialogue; self-sacrifice, conscience, etc.). It was revealed that internal dialogue with oneself, metacognitive and reflexive processes can ensure the management of one’s own abilities, while conscience and moral values make it possible to assess and control pedagogical skills. The above mentioned factors were joined in two groups such as reactive, which include operational-activity and social factors, and proactive, which are made up of personal-values and spiritual ones. The development of pedagogical skills under the influence of reactive factors becomes a movement "from the outside" when the external circumstances have to change before the man and his abilities do. The development of skills influenced by proactive factors is a change "inside out" which means one’s changing attitudes towards themselves and their activities that, consequently, leads to the change of skill and the activity itself. Among the mechanisms of pedagogical skills development the regulation of values, reflection and inner dialogue were identified. The inclusion of the value regultion in the development of skills leads to the integration of intra individual (philosophical, character, etc.) peculiarities into spiritual value categories that is followed with the teacher's ability to self-develop. These factors and mechanisms can be considered when planning and developing programmes of pedagogical skills transformations, in efficient pedagogical decision making process, etc.

The role of a teacher is not the dominant one, but he becomes the co-communicator and the participant of the discussions and the role-plays, the atmosphere does not make pressure on the learners, and thus, the inner foreign language motivation increases. The sense of dignity arises and the results achieved in the process of study stimulate future professional activity as well as cultural and communicative competencies. Organizing academic and cognitive engineering students’ activity we should keep in mind that they are keen on technically-scientific knowledge, and the teacher must create professionally-oriented problem tasks which are of great practical value for them, thus drawing their attention to the formation and development of professional vocabulary. The development of integrated-communicative and learning-cognitive model of foreign language teaching directed to investigate the language cognitive processes among the students of engineering specialties can be suggested as the aim of future research.

The article deals with the age preconditions of the development of emotional intelligence of elementary school pupils. The peculiarities of emotional development of preschool children are theoretically grounded. Emotional experiences of preschoolers related primarily with the relationship with relatives (parents, tutor, friends). A child takes possession of the «language» of emotions and feelings at this age. They learn through facial expressions, gestures, movements to express their feelings. In this case, children are increasingly able to describe their emotional state in verbal form. A level of the development of emotional intelligence of preschoolers is empirically determined. It is found that the lowest (55,9%) and an average (34,8%) level of emotional intelligence dominated among most preschool children. They cannot good enough identify emotions by expressive signs of it’s disclosure, they also cannot effectively manage their emotional state, control demonstration of emotions, especially negative. The least (9,3%) children with high levels of emotional intelligence are found. These children differ from other by a well developed ability to understand the emotions and the ability to behave appropriately in social environment. They show a high level of readiness to take into account the emotional state of another person, emphatically regard to them. Thus, at preschool age occurs the formation of emotional intelligence related with the socialization of children, resulting in emotional orientation of the child more on people than on specific objects or things. At this age develops the ability of the child to emotional decentration, empathy, compassion, sympathy that ensuring the development of interpersonal emotional intelligence.
