The theoretical analysis of metacognitive monitoring as metacognition component is done in the article. Such concepts as “metacognition”, “metacognitive monitoring” and “metacognitive control” are analyzed and correlated. The analysis of theoretical sources allows stating that the issue of peculiarities and dynamics of a student’s need-motivational sphere has not drawn sufficient attention in psychological science. The article deals with the one of the principal problems of contemporary educational practice such as the development of the professional competency of the foreign languages teachers in the higher military educational establishments on the basis of continuous self-education and self-development. The aim of the article is to define the features of self-education and self-development of foreign languages teachers who work in the higher military educational establishments. The special attention has been paid to the technology of the self-education of the foreign languages teachers. The author describes the contemporary views on the problem of self-education and self-development in pedagogical studies, analyzes the concepts of self-development and self-education. The foreign languages teachers of the higher military educational establishments increase their level of the professional competency provided they are constantly engaged in the process of their self-education. The author considers the essence of self-education process: a foreign languages teacher independently gains the knowledge from various sources in order to use them in his professional activity for comprehensive personality development. The author concludes that the development of professional competency of foreign languages teachers should take place in such areas as self-development organization and improvement of the pedagogical qualification of teachers on the basis of deepening pedagogical knowledge, educational technology, information literacy, communicative competence. They contribute to the insurance of high quality of planning and delivery of military and educational activities, creative self-realization of the teacher.

The article deals with the peculiarities of modal and specific forms of memory and their influence on the cognitive development of primary school pupils. The paper presents the results of theoretical and methodological analysis of the literature on the issue of the research. Based on the analysis of scientific sources, the role of this type of memory in the functioning of the cognitive mentality subsystem and the lack of investigation of all its varieties were identified.

The article presents the results of the analysis of the national identity of Ukrainian immigrant writers. It appeared important to follow the activity of the artistic Ukrainian Movement (MUR) that was led by Ulas Samchuk and occurred in the camps for migrating people on the territory of Germany in the years after World War II. The article highlights the main ideas that oriented MUR in its important activity, which was the popularization of Ukrainian literature as the one that was created by great nation. The analysis of the activity of MUR proved the importance reunification of the verbal artists who worked in various literary fields. Despite the fact that not all the plans of the scientists of literary theory of the period were realized, the conscious intentions of MUR members to preserve national identity outside the territory of Ukraine were successful.

The article deals with the notion of sanohenic thinking, its main features and the role of sanohenic thinking in the students’ educational activity. It highlights the peculiarities of new behaviour acquisition that results from sanohenic thinking application. The author studies the features of sanohenic reflection as a means of sanohenic thinking development in students and examines the management of emotions as an example of guilt and conscience by Yu.M. Orlov (the practice of sanohenic thinking). Moreover, the paper examines how emotional stress affects the formation of students’ thinking ability.

The issue of readiness is quite relevant in the study of professional activity and is associated with the preparation and retraining of personnel, which involves a detailed study and development of appropriate attitudes and abilities. In psychological literature readiness is widely viewed as a condition of success and efficient activity. Consideration of the phenomenon of psychological readiness requires explanation of its correlation and preparation of future teachers to be qualified in tasks realization. The systemic nature of psychological readiness requires us to study the structure and elements of the analyzed phenomena. Hence, there is an urgent need to study factors that affect the level of students’ readiness for professional activity, identification of ways and methods by which the level of training of future professionals can be improved.

The goal of the article is to present the results of a study of self-teaching and reflexivity in the structure of metacognitive competence of a teacher. Pedagogical self-regulation advocates a psychological phenomenon that reveals the motivational orientation of a high school teacher at the optimal professional activity and is realized through its key incentives (intrinsic motivation as interest in teaching; extrinsic motivation as a desire to avoid punishment from the leadership, condemned by the students; identified regulation by comparing yourself with other teacher colleagues; introjected regulation as the belief that there is a certain set of things that a teacher has to do).

The article highlights the problem of psychоcorrection of negative mental conditions that appear in student age. A student period is accompanied by the frequent emotional experiences that induce the appearance and development of spectrum of negative mental conditions in students. Existence and actualization of such states result in disorganization of educational activity, sometimes is followed by the rejection of its further completion, violation in the way cognitive processes occur, personality and professionally-personality deformations and health conditions decay. The efficient dealing with such states becomes acute in student period and requires further investigation with the consideration of the structural features of mental conditions. The scope of the article is to examine the basis of psychological correction with is aimed at students’ negative mental condition.

In the article, the theoretical principles of formation and development of the teacher’s personality has been analysed in accordance with the social ideals. Review of psycho-pedagogical model of Ukrainian teachers allowed the author to determine its characteristics and requirements for the implementation of professional duties. The analysis of the historical and pedagogical literature and creative heritage of classical teachers has been explained. Moreover, it was found out that the psycho-pedagogical model of Ukrainian teacher requires a high level of national consciousness, a thorough knowledge of the history of Ukraine and the Ukrainian psycho-pedagogical philosophy.

The problem of academic mobility of students and teachers has attracted a lot of attention in recent years. European mobility of future specialists in economics is an integrated trait of character that determines economics students’ readiness to participate in academic exchange programmes. However, there is a number of obstacles that complicate free movement of students between universities in Ukraine and the EU. Very little empirical research on the obstacles that Ukrainian students face in European mobility is available. The use of data from the study made it possible to define six key obstacles to this process, to explain their nature and to provide statistical information on each of them.

This article highlights the views of practical military psychologists on the problem of motivation. A new term “psychologically important environment” in the context of the exploration of the officers’ readiness for professional activities is introduced. The toolkit of the motivation of the officers is disclosed and selected, and border motive in activities of an officer is also summarized. The influence of the research subject on the intensity and orientation behaviour of a border guard officer is justified. Taking into account the purpose of the article which is the study of the role and place of psychology of readiness in professional activity of a border guard officer, our aim is also to analyze its impact on the operational activities of the state border.

Psychological concept of personality’s self-actualisation that is used in foreign literature was generalized in the article. The essence in foreign humanistic psychology was analysed. In the article, the basic tendencies of vocally-pedagogical methodology are examined in the legacy of professor Valery Vysotskyi , which is related to the formation of vocal skills in the future music masters’ after the voice training. The activity of highly professional school of singing is reflected under the direction of Valery Vysotskyi, who successfully worked in the conservatory of Galychina Musical Society at the end of the 19th century. The author pays attention to the significant value of vocally-pedagogical methods of the Italian singer Lamperti on the basis of the teaching methodology that was created by V. Vysotskyi. Analysing the stated points in "Ten commandments to the singers" of V. Vysotskyi, an author exposes essence of substantive provisions of his methodology that are included in the study of emission of voice to the perfect phrasing and expressive diction. This research takes into account the methods of prosecution of the singing breathing, inheritance, transference of attention, independent work, and also prosecution of vocal exercises. An author gives description of these methods and recommends to use successfully in the modern practice of the voice training as they ensures the high level of vocal skills in singer`s activity, which will be connected in the future with the process of development, exploitation and maintenance of the person`s vocal system.

It highlights structural components of the professional competence of future foreign language teachers which enlist the content, the process, and the motivation. The analysis of the works of scientists and methodologists made it possible to conclude that the final stage in the process of settling the readiness of the future foreign language teachers to the formation of foreign language communicative competence of primary school children by means of the manual textbook is professional competence of the teacher in this type of activity.
