The development of a professional, the rate and success of mastering the professional activities and integration into the professional community depend on the level of professional self-concept.

Gender schemes recorded in the cultural texts are legitimatized by various institutions of socialization, through which they direct the process of constructing the human gender experience. There are gender schemes that help a young man in self-determination, providing his adaptation to the social medium. On the other hand, there are those schemes that hamper the young people’s self-fulfillment. Therefore, the study of young people’s gender perceptions, clarifying the extent of their fixedness and dynamism is an important issue.

Complications in various spheres of life put forward new requirements for individuals whose professional activity is directly related to the operation in extreme conditions: firefighters, police, military, navy personnel and so on. In the article the two concepts "group" and "staff" are distinguished. Moreover, such phenomenon as decentration is viewed as an integral property of an individual who participates in group activities. The most effective types of cooperation in a group of student are observed; expediency of solving problems in the study of small groups of students is stated. The features of the interaction between group members are identified and the particular features of joint educational activities construction are specified.

In the article the problems of severe social and psychological burden on the wider Ukrainian society, which caused rapid process of impoverishment and poverty, are studied.

This work is acute due to the fact that the way of independent Ukraine towards becoming a truly democratic European state is extremely delayed. This situation has caused serious socio-psychological problem that is to theoretically ensure coordination of public efforts and resources to fight poverty in Ukraine. However, these significant social issues are always considered by economists, financiers, sociologists and political scientists. Unfortunately, their study has not given significant results. Therefore, the author proposes to examine these processes in the light of psychology.

The article analyzes the features of the organization of the value-motivational component of the reflective competence which provide the assessment of different forms of activity and its results, including judgments about their effectiveness, definition (determining) of the possible scenarios of life and the formation of the priorities for further self-development. The research of the structural components of the reflective competence is an important issue of the personality’s psychology as competence provides an implementation of the reflectivity as a general personal ability. The purpose of this article is to determine the internal structure of the value-motivational component of the personality`s reflective competence. The authors identified three main components that function at three levels of competence: cognitive, metacognitive and personal.

In the article the authors make an attempt to empirically verify the relationship between empathy and structural components of the youth reaction to the danger of contracting the HIV. Empathy plays an important role in the structure of moral consciousness of personality. Becoming its value system, it can cause a social and prosocial behaviour, contribute to the security or endanger including forecast trends in assessing the behaviour of young people in the danger of HIV/AIDS.

The article grounds the importance of studying the problem of rendering psychological emergency aid to the persons aggrieved at the scene of the emergency event and in the closest time after the event. Under conditions of emergency events (natural disasters, technogenic catastrophes, acts of terrorism, etc.) the acute stress states characterized by person’s emotional and intellectual disorganization. A person who has experienced a traumatic impact of an emergency situation is in need of psychological emergency aid.
